New Tech for New Africa, 23rd July 2015, IDC, Sandton
How is technology changing Africa? Technology drives change - economic, political and social. Nowhere is this more evident than in the African continent. As a relatively underdeveloped region, technology in all its forms has the potential to dramatically turn around the fortunes of African economies. As Africa is opening for business and information flows more easily, local and imported technologies are changing the way Africans interact and do business. By the end of this year there will be over 1 billion Africans using mobile phones, 1/3 of which will use their phones to make and receive payments.
New technology platforms are changing Africa and helping the rise of B2B and B2C commerce. Join us at the New Tech for New Africa conference to hear what leading companies such as FaceBook, IBM, WeChat and Orange and thought leaders Aki Anastasiou and Dion Chang are doing and saying about the latest technology trends in Africa.
